It always amazes me just how many galaxies (and by extension how many stars) are out there.
At first glance, there's not a lot to see and I think most non-astro people would pass over such an image. (Thank you Hubble for all your images, but they do raise people's expectations to insane levels.)
Yet with some moments of looking and contemplation, you come to realise just how big space is, and how utterly insignificant Earth is when viewed at this scale.
