Centaurus A

This shot was taken the same session as my recent Omega Centauri effort and backed up the following evening of 24th April earlier this week.
Taken with my Canon 60D through the Newt with 90min exposure at 45sec subs ISO 800.

A few lessons learnt again- since it was my first obs toward the south for a while I forgot to balance the scope for this section of sky but meh, the data shows up some surrounding glow produced by this intense central core with some detail within which was pleasing to see.

Rich star field in and around the galaxy which was another learning curve with processing out gradients and respecting the light as is taboo.

Cheers,
Anthony
