Thanks for the replies Bojan and Gus.k.

I meant eyepieces rather than lenses, sorry.

They are Celestron X-Cel LX 12, 7 and 5mm. I've attached a higher quality version of the picture that is taken with my phone straight into one of the eyepieces when the telescope is out of focus. Note that I also have 25 and 9mm eyepieces in the same range and they do not exhibit these "markings".

In my testing, it wasn't an issue at night on a small telescope but was an issue for terrestrial observation.

Based on Gus.k's reply, this shouldn't be more of an issue with a bigger aperture. I was concerned that the increased brightness could make it an issue.
