8 inch GSO Newt with the works REDUCED

This is a basic f5 8 inch GSO Newt that I have pimped up. It has these added features.

I had the primary resurfaced.
I replaced the stock focuser with a Bintel Crayford.
I fitted an ASI focuser motor with an improvised mounting bracket to fit the Bintel focuser.
I fitted an ADM mini bar on top to hold a guide scope - also added two Vixen clamps on it.
I fitted a 60mm f4 ZVBony guide scope (with a Helical focuser)
I added an ASiair Plus to control it all.
I fitted a Baader MPCC
I wrapped the OTA with aluminium bubble-wrap thermal insulation (although it was probably not much use really)

I’ll attach some photos if IIS will allow it (with their bloody 200 KB limits) and send more to serious buyers if requsted.

So it is a far cry from its humble beginnings.

I don’t have any packaging boxes etc so this really needs to be a pickup job - about 50km north of Brisbane.

The pictures show an ASI120 guide cam which is NOT included.

As for the rest, I am not contemplating any splits.

I don’t expect to recover what I have spent but even so, I do expect a figure close to $1750.
