10th March Large prom and sunspots
10th March. A clear morning allowed me to capture some images of the Sun and a large prominence on its SE limb. The prom was measured at 108,000 km high. There was also some nice filaments on the SW sector.
The first two images show the Sun in Halpha (656 nm). Taken with a Lunt 100 Ha SS scope.
The third image shows today's sunspots at 540 nm wavelength. Look for a new spot coming into view on the eastern limb. The numbers show the AR's.
All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d camera.
