I have fitted this with a 10mm bolt to suit a Giro II AZ mount and it worked well with a 100mm f/7.4 refractor.
It is possible to change this 10mm bolt with a 3/8"-16 bolt or some kind of top-plate or saddle for your particular requirements.

Photos below show a range of height adjustments. The centre column adjustment is particularly useful for use with binoculars with "straight-through" eyepieces. Comparison with the wooden Oberwerk tripod shows the huge difference in tripod heights.
