I think you are on the money with assembling it somewhere that will capture any dropped parts, the screws are small and some of them are black.
I have misplaced or lost a Coma corrector which I can not recall any details...it was just something from Bintel and as far as I knew worked OK...but strangley I can't find it or the tilt plate it was attached to...as I have said by ordering a new one the missing one will turn up...that's how things work...

I have ordered a Badder Coma Corrector about $280 and that will be here according to Australia Post Wednesday ( recent info).
