Ha, this is my problem with ST as well. You're right that with both images, reds are orange and colours are muddy.
If you have Photoshop, you can take the image into it and then do play around with the colour to get it to your liking. That's what I used to do when using ST. I'd edit mostly in ST, then finish it off in PS.
That said, I do agree with Martin and ST is pretty decent with some broadband OSC data. You can match it with PS/PI etc but ST can do a quicker job. I had good success with the colours on an earlier Rho Oph picture I took that took me longer to match with PI.
Also, you can give Siril a try. It's like PixInsight, but free

(but of course, not as feature rich).
