PS: Happy to look at your ST workflow and provide comment ?
Are you using ST version 1.8 ?

Hi Martin, you are very kind. Thank you.

The original masterpiece began with a stacked from DSS and then proceeded to StarTools where I followed the defaults more or less.

The attached effort has a different history. Using AstroPixel Processsor, I stacked the subs and extracted the Ha and OIII channels So I then went to ST (1.8) with 3 images - a RGB composite, the Ha and OIII monos from APP. The Ha was mapped to Red and the OIII to Blue. The RGB was mapped to Luminance.

From there I followed the workflow you very generously published here a few months ago that worked so well on the Tarantula.

As you will see from the "new" image, it is much more subdued but the colours still aren't right.

This brings me to the problem I continue to have with ST when it comes to the "colour" module. They are muted and lack punch. The red is more an ochre and the Blue - well my wife insists on calling it taupe - whatever that is. I used the sliders in ST to adjust the red, green, blue channels but it doesn't seem to bring out true reds, greens or blues. They are pastel approximations of the colours they should be. No doubt it's my lack of technique causing it.
