I soley use newts for observing and imaging at f5 , 6” to 12”
I’ve always used a Cheshire and a Laser , one to check the other
If the Laser is collimated correctly it normally doesn’t need touching unless you drop it etc…
I usually start with the Cheshire to get close and then pop the laser for fine tuning
Hasn’t let me down in over 5 years
