Nice review and glad to hear it has nice optics.
I was a bit skeptical when these were first released about the ability of the mass producers like GSO and Synta to "consistently" produce decent quality large fast optics. The early foray into larger faster mirrors for these companies were the 16"/F4.5 Meade Lightbridge's, made by GSO. Some of these were good, some weren't. The % of duds produced at 16"/F4.5 was certainly greater than it was at apertures of 12" or less, where the optics were generally consistently pretty good, with some being exceptional. Obviously as time has passed, they have got their act together, which is great for the amateur astronomy community as it puts large fast aperture in the hands of a lot more people for a lot less money than the premium scope builders.
