Christmas day bookended by the Sun

Christmas Day dawned clear and sunny.
This required some extra organisation of the day to include some sun imaging. There really wasn't enough time to do more than a quick full disk.
We ended up with a disk at 8:44amand after returning from lunch time celebrations we grabbed another disk as the sun was setting behind the house at 6:33pm.
We had noticed a new incoming region right on the NE limb and a significant growth in a prominence in the SE.
About 12 hours later, this SE prominence took off dramatically - unfortunately there were clouds here this morning so we missed the action.
Here is the SDO image of the event.
