Hi Guys
NGC1763 is a large bright emission nebula with an embedded star cluster in the Dorado constellation in the Large Magellanic Cloud, about 160000 light-years from Earth.
Taken on my RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools and Photoshop. 21 hrs Total exposure time with 3nm Narrowband filters. Ha and OIII, all 30 min subs.
Big version
here
An awkward one to process, OIII is buried by Ha, masking required.
Ive gone from 1hr to 30min subs these days. I know longer is always better, but given the noise reduction tools these days, I just cant be bothered with the risk of 1hr subs. Eventually ill just get "EXterminator" everything and just do 3 1min subs. Everything will be fixable in post
Cheers
Fred
