I’m selling this on behalf of my grandmother in law. Her late husband bought it some 20 years ago, he passed away at the beginning of COVID and it’s been in storage since then.
It has a Hoya 80mm F/12 objective, 1.25” metal focuser and locally fabricated tube. I had it out for a brief look at the moon and it shows a small amount of purple fringing which is completely eliminated by a “minus violet” filter. I’m attaching two images taken today through my phone that show the difference; it’s less noticeable visually than it is in the images
The mount is an EQ3 clone which feels sturdy enough, doesn’t wobble around like the EQ2! It has motors installed on both axis but there isn’t a controller. By the looks of it they’re a custom job. As a bit of background, the owner was a farmer and an electrical engineer before that job title existed

I’ve tested both motors and they work but running straight off 12V has one speed and it is a long way from sidereal
Also comes with a 25mm plossl in… usable condition. A 1.25” prism diagonal which seems perfectly fine. There is a very clearly home made camera adapter which attaches onto the eye piece. A bit of solar film of unknown age and condition, doesn’t appear to have any damage but I’d leave that up to your discretion as to whether you’d use it or chuck it.
I’m opening it up at $1,200 for the lot but open to reasonable offers
