So I popped up to SV on Friday. The field is a bit wet (as expected) Top half is not too bad and was mowed about 2 weeks ago, but the grass is going berserk.
Lower parts of the field are badly waterlogged. We don't have huge numbers so I think we will be OK if the weather sorta plays ball!
One thing that is an issue is that we cannot allow vehicles on the field as the risk of them getting bogged and then the field being chopped up is too great. So if setting up, sorry you will have to carry your gear.
The asphalt quadrangle has been redone with new asphalt and looks great. It still has a bit of gravel on it. I am proposing that we use that area for any that don't want to take gear on the main field. It will mean that we will need to keep vehicles in the quad to a bare minimum. There is a parking area about 30 metres north of the toilet block that can be used that was quite dry and is also fine if anyone has a van or camper.
I know it is a bit of a pain but the weather this spring has been awful and creates major issues.
