Before they released the GTi, on the Sky-Watcher podcast they mentioned they weren't looking at strain wave drives, but were betting on the GTi instead. This was at the start of the year. Maybe they've changed their mind seeing how poorly received the GTi is, and how much traction strain waves are getting.
But if their quality control on the GTi is anything to go off, I'm sure their strain wave product will be full of bugs.
