Jumping on the moon-wagon (shots from 2nd/5th Nov)
Hi guys,
It's certainly been moon-season, but in my defence, I took these shots BEFORE the eclipse (2nd & 5th Nov) but just was lazy finishing processing them.
The first 3 are taken with the 2600mc pro. My thought was to try and get some wider-views but this was extremely problematic as the file sizes were HUGE and my poor 12yr old Microsoft Surface struggled big time with 50gb files taking 12+ hrs to stack each vid and multiple crashes. I had to take some short cuts by using Pipp to cut down the frames etc and quality suffered but I was determined to come away with something at least.
The last 3 are with the 290mm mini and experimenting shooting with the zwo IR850. Muuuuuuch nicer experience and wish I'd taken more vids cause it was really a pleasure to process in comparison...
I think my fav pic has got to be Gassendi, but it was the Rupes Recta that was the view of the night through the eyepiece (but just can't replicate the dynamic range with the camera...)
All with the c14 non edhe
eq8 pro
ASICAP
as!3 / Regi6 / PIPP
Have to say I'm still a way off replicating how it looked through the eyepiece with the binoviewers (truely truely magestic). Any tips would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks for dropping in!
