Sky Rover 102mm Super ED Triplet APO Refractor & Reducer/Flattener

I never thought this day would come, but I'm putting my beloved triplet up for sale.

This telescope was my introduction to astrophotography and I have loved every clear night shooting with her. Every single image in my astrobin collection has been shot using this telescope.

This is the ULT reference edition of the 102mm - you can read all the specs here. RRP $4899

I am selling it with the matching reducer, specs here. The reducer / flatteners are made specifically for the different model refractors, so these go together as a pair. RRP $1089

Important - if you're thinking of buying, please read. This telescope has been my workhorse since I bought it brand new less than 2 years ago. There have been maybe half a dozen clear nights since then that this scope has not been outside taking photographs. The quality of the optics in this telescope are phenomenal. But the tube isn't quite like-new-in-box. There are some marks on the tube from running a dew heater a little too hot one night. There are marks where screws have scraped away the powder coating when attaching accessories to it. It has a couple of scratches and a very small dent in it. I have included photographs of all these, so please take a moment and study the pictures for yourself. If you buy this telescope for astrophotography you will not be disappointed, but I do not want anyone to be surprised when they receive this scope and discover these cosmetic imperfections.

What is included:
The 102mm Super ED Triplet APO telescope, with R&P focuser that is smooth and stable; compatible with ZWO EAF
Visual back with 2 inch fitting
0.8x Reducer Flattener
Lens cap
Reducer caps
Rings & Vixen dovetail
SVBony dew heater (can be run from Asiair Pro or USB)
Aluminium case for telescope
Original box for reducer.

I'm looking for offers up to $4000. That's 33% below new price, and the price on telescopes just seems to be going up.

What do I mean "offers up to"? If someone offers me $4000, I'll accept the offer immediately, job done. If someone offers me less, I'll think about it, and we will see if we can work out a deal.

I'm happy to answer any questions, please just get in touch.

Pickup is in Eltham North, Vic, or I can arrange shipping with insurance at your expense (estimate less than $200, but can confirm that with a destination postcode).

Thanks for looking,
Ross
