It is amazing how many people just see something and must have it and will just keep bidding. I have bought a few items myself and must admit it is very easy to be swept up in the excitement, I also have a guideline to never exceed 80% of the original price including the postage.
Phil has the right train of thought, do your homework first, there are some great bargains to be found.
