Correct, the browser cannot generate this message but, it can appear when your browser cached this server response at an earlier point when the link may indeed have been broken.
Have had this occur multiple times with other websites & the reason I've known it was a 'cached' response was because I could access the same site from a different computer/device.
In Leon's case, he can access with one computer but, not the other.. this the 404 error in this particular case is highly unlikely to be a genuine, live server response, otherwise he'd have the problem on all his devices.
