I found using very good to excellent seeing samples of video captures helped me level up post processing.

I used Bill Koestring's Jupiter capture he posted on 9th Sept over on the FB group for "Planetary Imaging, Processing, and stacking Forum" helpful. A search on CN and even right here in IIS will reveal other examples to download and have a go with.

The attached screenshots are my processing settings applied to Bill's sample. It demonstrates on very good captures, only subtle changes are required. If I find I'm pushing the numbers and the rig was bang on, it typically means the seeing wasn't great. Then I have to dial back the sharpening to find that balance, as you guys mentioned.
