I'll be flocking my C9.25 soon, to (hopefully) reduce the scattered light that was so apparent when I was imaging Uranus as it approached the Moon leading up to the occultation of 8th Sept.
I contacted
Protostar who are going to quote me on shipping. Their standard international shipping rate appears to be US$28.00 on sheets of the flocking material that cost US$10.00 per sheet.
The
Protostar die cut sheets with the stronger adhesive backing are 20 x 30 inches. A quick measure of the ID of my OTA reads about 10inches, so π x d (pi x d) gives (3.142 x 10) = 31 inches.
The C9.25 OTA is 22 inches long according to the Celestron specs, so it looks like I’ll have to order 2 sheets.
Cheers
Dennis
