And the interior of this unassuming shed is equally as unassuming - just an old man and his old scopes- aka the warm room.....not as flash as some but I like to call it home.

The good part is I find myself blessed to be able to spend as much time there as I like, and actually enjoy what I'm doing - not driven to distraction by it but meeting the mental challenges by pencil arithmetic and push-to rather than the computer - I do have go-to as well though.

Is it being regressive? It seems the aperture fever is abating, possibly as a result of ageing badly and finding lifting the big buggers somewhat a challenge. I am now preferring to go for the older gear and the older methods - I've always been a visual astronomer. And I'm not afraid to pull them down and give them a tweak - it's quite enlightening what's inside and a revelation. I think I've learnt (absorbed) as much information in the last 7 years as I've done in my entire lifetime. And a lot of it I appreciate has come from other members of IIS and CN.

Astronomy - we all approach it differently and for different reasons - and hopefully we all get as much enjoyment/fun from it as I do.
