If it’s just on the external surface of the lense, some lense cleaning solution with a clean microfibre cloth or cotton swab should fix this no probs. Give it a good blow with a bulb puffer first. If it’s worked it’s way into a multi lense cell then that might need a pro service.
But as you say, flats will compensate for it too
