Oddly enough, recently I was making an (unsuccessful) attempt at a capture from the middle of a disused cricket pitch not far from where I live, and had a red cast through all my images. Couldn't work out why.
In a classic case of always look behind you, it turned out that about a hundred metres away there's a railway line, which had a
red signal on the line. Despite it being reasonably shielded by the housing, there was enough of it to affect what I was doing.
