Some Good Seeing - About Time !

Yesterday (08/09/22) was a good day to image the sun. The sky's transparency was good and so was the seeing. I took a 6-frame mosaic of the sun's disc in Ha light and noted how stable the atmosphere was. This tempted me to increase the magnification of the scope to f/40 (FL=2400mm) and captured active regions AR3092 surrounded by a large filament and AR3096 which came around the sun's Eastern limb. I left the images in either mono or in negative as this format produces a nicer contrast.

All-in-all I was pleased what a 60mm aperture lens fitted with a double stacked SM60 Coronado Etalon could capture.
