Astrophysics Starefire 102

It's a Starfire 102 F/8 from the early 90's with 2.7" single speed focuser, 3" extension and 2" adaptor. Rings are Parallax with 75mm Losmandy style plate and removable Vixen dovetail. Comes with the original grey vinyl covered case in good condition.

Astrophysics is renowned for producing high quality refractors. On the moon there is an inky black background. No chromatic aberrations seen. Same applies to the planets. Stars are pinpoint.

Objective is flawless and focuser like new in appearance and operation. Paintwork on these is notorious for being easily chipped and there are some touched up areas on the OTA tube, however there are no dents and overall it looks very good.

Optically it is an excellent visual wide field scope and also good on planetary.
