Large edge on prom on the Sun's limb today.

Around 2pm, I took out my PST solar scope.

Of course clouds came and parked over the sun in an otherwise blue sky for at least 30 minutes.

Once it cleared, I observed an amazing very high (large) prom on the Sun today. We are seeing it edge on so it’s resembling the appearance of a roman candle or a fountain rather than a loop.

My very rough visual estimate & sketch tells me it could be anything from 7 to 10 Earth diameters (120000km) high. Not a record but an incredible sight to observe visually.
