The Moon / Mars pairing this morning was a pleasant sight. At closest, Mars was almost lost in the glare of Luna to the naked eye. In binos' , as the posted photos also show, it was a close conjunction, less than 1/2 degree, well worth the effort of being up at that time of the morning despite the temperature.
