Lots of options.
What I use:
SGP (signal generator pro) outputs .fits
PI (Pixinsight): A useful tool called 'Blink' for looking at each photo.
Dithering:
They say it is best done while capturing.
SGP with PHD2 (point here dummie) does this nicely.
It can be done later. Again PI does this.
