IC 4628 Prawn Nebula in OSC NB

The winds abated in Sydney yesterday afternoon to leave a beautiful clear night with excellent conditions
I’ve never imaged the Prawn Nebula under Sydney’s LP ( only down the south coast in my Dome ) so decided to give it a crack using the L Extreme filter

Bortle 7/8
No moon
6” f6 Bintel GSO Newt
Skywatcher EQ6-R pro mount
ZWOASI2600MC cooled to -10C , Gain 100 LRN
TS GPU coma corrector
68 x 2 minute dithered guided subs
40 x Flats
50 x Bias
EQMOD, Stellarium and APT
PHD2 Multistar guiding ( 0.55 to 0.60 arc sec error total )
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 Compose OSC NB Bi colour

The Superstructure and Entropy module in Startools works really well with OSC narrowband data sets. The outcomes are obviously not in the same league as True Mono Narrowband but you can process quite a respectable Narrowband rendition considering OSC cameras limitations.

OSC Narrowband Bi colour SHO version
Synthetic Luminance version
