What is particularly interesting is the layering of the rock and that it is an angle to the horizontal. A reasonable presumption is that such layering would have formed when horizontal with each layer being deposited one after an other either as lava or by water leaving a sediment as is normal in the formation of sedimentary rock.
But clearly the doorway was cut out by members of a ancient advanced civilization to access their vast underground world they created to hide when they first observed the early development of humans and their propensity to rely heavily on superstition and sensibly factored that alarming observation into how they would prepare for a future on a planet alongside these new superstitious animals.
