The link here is to a recent Omega Centauri rendition. (after months of rain, I needed a well placed, bright test object to dial everything back in)
I am still experimenting with CMOS modes, with this sequence being captured in high well depth mode and a gain of 1.
The results in this mode seem "more CCD like" so I suspect I will persist with this until I discover something better.
At a FL of 2800mm the 3.7 micron pixels show every tracking and orthogonality error. Bottom right of frame shows a smidge of focal-plane tilt.
High cirrus plus a rising moon put pay to and notions of colour....and of course rain is forecast.
But I think this combo has promise....
