Yep a good scope is a great tool, for only a few hundred you can pick up stereo models with a camera too, you could probably use a zwo camera if it’d fit, microscope camera are like astro camera and pop in place to replace the eyepiece but they use different eyepiece diameters but same basic concept. I’ve used a bunch of “USB microscopes” over the years, universally garbage but a solid “normal” microscope like yours is pretty affordable , just avoud those really cheap plastic “toy” ones. I dont get to use mine much, its in my “hobby room” under a cover and surrounded by other “hobbies in various stages of work and completion. I’m a rock and mineral collector and would like to get some good micro photos of crystals etc. one of those one day i’ll get to it type goals, but certainly having indoor hobbies is great for those rainy days and cold winters, especially if you have a comfy room and a window to gaze out.
