Carbon capture back to fuel is a tempting way to go. You keep established industry and the wealthy happy and you limit the vehicle pollution to its first tank only.

Below is an old (2019) forbes article that states petrol needs to go to $4 a gallon to make it viable. Which is where we are today...

Yes, lots of short falls to keep the leaps of potential interesting... but I like the idea of just removing carbon, rather than more human interference options being touted...
