Sad to hear of your bad experience raymo, that sounds like a great loss. I remember looking in Telescope magazines in the 80's at all the magnificent photos of the nebula and galaxies and wondering just what it took to make such great images.

As I was already in my 70s when digital AP came along, and was not very computer literate, I never advanced far into digital AP. No guiding, and in camera noise reduction enabled, so no separate darks, flats etc:
All done with DSLRs and stacked and basic processing in Deep Sky Stacker.
No further processing.

The moderators don't normally allow any previously posted images to be posted a second time, unless for a specific purpose such as helping beginners, but I'll try posting a few and see what happens.
