Yeah, did similar with DSLR years ago, was hard to keep it in frame, must have been damn hard with a scope, and it was great I got shots of it as its angle changed and could make out parts of it. Really cool and i’m always amazed at what we can see and capture with relatively simple gear from our backyards.
Plus ISS is going away soon right? So get out the with your scopes and take a chance to observe before its gone forever. I’d love to shoot it burning up but I doubt it’ll be observable from Canberra, Its going to die in the pacific graveyard right?
