Very good effort. You should be very proud.

And dont worry your wife by talking about what you want to get...they worry un necessarily and you dont want that...so just buy what you want after all she just wants you to be happy so dont disappoint her...and dont worry her with details like cost...that is not fair to her..

But the main thing is to wear out your current gear from plenty of use.

I have a few scopes right up to a RASA 11 and after a long spell I am more looking forward to using the 80mm than the others...they are just so good people rush to larger scopes leaving the best behind. See your sight on a narrow band camera ...one capture in HA and you eill appreciate my advice...

What I would suggest get more lights of this object... frame as close to the current image and then stack everything.... get three times more and throw out stuff that is not perfect..very hard to do but that is so important..be ruthless... use only perfect subs...you can get away with out calibration so dont get hung up worrying about it..when you have heaps of perfect light frames of your target you wont worry about noise.... .and for goodness sake teach your Son how to focus.
