Thanks everyone for the comments, I myself prefer the first too. I am not much into those pics we see that have been oversharpened, I like more the natural look..
Hopefully I will get another go or two at m42 before the weather gets too warm.
Joe..made the mirror as well as the whole OTA except the focuser and some help from the local engineer shop. Mirror came out about 1/12 PV wavefront..
