At first I thought "what have I done" but now "Great idea"

Back in May last year I was looking at getting a wide field setup for imaging
Esprit 80mm APO Refractor and EQ6-R Mount, with cloudy sky and very little
opportunity for imaging my thoughts moved on to going back to a long forgotten
hobby learning to play Guitar, so I bought a new Guitar instead of a wide field imaging setup.

I am so happy I did, the Guitar arrived in September a Maton "Messiah " EM100C,
the tone of this Guitar is absolutely amazing and now with 5 months of practice under my belt, I think I am slowly getting the swing of it with some new original music, I still have a long way to go, more practice needed.

With thick clouds and rain setting in again and no chance of imaging, i still have the 12inch Meade LX200 but no wide field imaging setup, but now I can happily play Guitar until my fingers bleed.

I wonder how many other people on IIS get sidetracked when buying Astro gear and get something else instead and it works out well for them, maybe a car, boat, caravan, the possibilities are endless.
