Up for sale is a Canon EF 200 mm f/2.8 L series lens
It’s hardly been used- I have a RedCat 51 and a Borg ED 45 with similar focal length for Astro and I don’t do much if any terrestrial photography other than with an iPhone; so in effect it’s just been sitting around and it’s time for it to go to someone who will use it
I have always had a Hoya UV filter on it just to protect the glass ; despite that and in the interest of full disclosure I did notice a tiny dust particle on the lens when I photographed it just now -but I made no attempt to remove it
This is an excellent lens for Astro imaging- Alan Dyer did a comparison with a Redcat 51 and found it held up very well especially stopped down one stop. As I said I have never really used it myself so I don’t have pictures to post
Here’s a review of the lens by Bill Christie
