If it's a smart TV then it probably has a browser and usually a you tube app, so you don't need to copy anything, just fire up the browser/you tube on the TV and type in the you tube url/video name in the search box.

Wow thank you indeed, sounds like a plan, and mate about the last part of your answer about mirroring phones etc, well we wont go there. im lost even thinking about it
