Thanks Gerard, Bob, Steve and Dennis. Yes I was lucky having clear skies given I have been so often thwarted by cloud and being in the right location.
Bob I notice that the Northern-Hemi astrofolk were talking about a bigger Mars occultation event at the end of this year...perhaps you are in position to catch that one?
