I purchased an Astro-fi 90gt over a year ago and struggled to get it to complete the 3 star sky alignment process. Regularly failing after the third star. It made me start to intensely dislike the mount.

Last night - i changed the scope settings to manual align. And presto - accurate alignment first go and pleasing goto performance the rest of the night. Was like I found a new friend!

After changing to manual alignment. The process is pretty simple.
You initially slew the scope to the bright object of your choice. Then in SkySafari/SkyPortal select the object press align. Finish alignment then select the next visible brigh object on SkySafari and scope will slew to it - Centre and align - goto 3rd and repeat. Presto - alignment in 1 go not 5!

Thought I’d suggest incase others are frustrated by the sky align process using these mounts.
