Peter: not that it really matters for an overnight charge at home, but how long does that take to get that 500km range charge?

We have the Tesla Wall charger in our garage, so the charge rate is around 48km per hour. Assuming you have totally flattened the battery, then about 10 hours. I never let the range go below 200km, and set the charging to start at 10:00pm (to use off peak power) so by 4:00am it is fully charged.
If you plug into a Super charger (cost 50cents per kw/hr) I understand it will give 80% of full charge in 20 minutes or so.
