Caught Target doing similar prior to one of their annual sales once (why I refuse to shop at Target any more). Price was $25 for months before their sale. 2 weeks before their sale, price goes up to $35. They then have a "25% off" sale...which brought it down to $26.25...more than even the original price LOL. Never shopped at Target since, nor any Murican owned chains (Kmart, Costco etc). Thankfully, Target has gone from my local area anyway (closed in Queanbeyan ages ago)
Yep, we just needed more Muricanisms... NOT. Like we haven't already eroded enough of our own culture with their BS. It's just another excuse for retail psychology.
