Overall, Australia has great weather (even Melbourne). I worked at an observatory in Switzerland, and even in the middle of Summer we could only observe one in three days. Winter, maybe once a week on average. Needless to say, lots of Stellarium presentations were given to the poor tourists hoping that we somehow had special powers to burn lasers through the clouds. How their hopes were dashed.

I am probably getting a little strung out as it has been a year now with no imaging.. admittedly I have been laying about and being slack pretending I cant walk and that I cant eat etc and did not even try to get out of bed and image...losing 25 klgs should see me bounching around but no...
But even though I was fighting death daily I still got heaps done..well my assistant did..but I was the driving force...it would be so nice to use it..the waiting for each and every bit to arrive and assembling the stuff for the electrics was all just filled with set backs and problems...only two batteries turned up, they would not deliver first time so my assistant had to drive to Nimbin and then they only had two of the four ordered...and the wait for the filters, the mount..each would drive one to drink..but that would kill me as well...then there was the storm damage which was so lucky..could have lost a fortune.
