Light pollution filter

Hi all,

Living in Melbourne, I will need a light pollution filter for (colour) imaging. Any recommendations? I hear the Optolong L-Extreme is excellent - but longer exposures needed (which doesn’t bother me).

Also, which do I need for my potential setup? 1.25 inch or 2 inch? I will be using a DSLR camera (Nikon D7000) with possible upgrade to a dedicated astrophotography camera in the future, and will be hopefully using a Bintel f/5 reflector 200/1000. A coma corrector might also be thrown in the mix.

I don’t want vignetting on the corners, so is it safer to just go 2 inch?

Many thanks,
Stéphane
