Actually "Starless" processing is not a new trend. It has been around for
well over a decade. None other than David Malin (aka keeper of the light) gave
a starless image a Malin award 12 years ago.... Are you suggesting DM is also a "numpty" ?
As for judging on AstroBin to come up with an in-house APOD .....sort of reminds
me of (rather meaningless )"participation awards" .
