I have an EQM-35, well adjusted.


Imaging, I wouldn't even dare put more than 6kg on it - more like 5. Visual, I'd go 8kg, and not a long scope (inertial moments and wind)


Seeing these have only surface tube bearings (no actual bearings or even babbitt), weight affects one side different to the other more so than with regular bearings - hence why these tend to not balance easily or bind in certain spots.


It's a SIMPLE mount to disassemble - takes about 10min tops. Adjusting the dec nut and RA nut don't do much because of the lack of bearings.
